CD Reviews

EXCELLENT CLASSIC METAL SOUND!

"Armed with loud guitars, aggressive vocals, and thunderous drums this Chicago based group sets it's attack on the music world with the intention of bringing Heavy Metal back to the masses.

"... hard, loud and fast.

Fire in the Sky clocks in at just under 30 minutes, beginning with "The Descent," a slow instrumental guitar piece. Right when you think these boys are about to metal-ballad your ass (maybe something akin to "One" or "Fade to Black" by Metallica) - which, make no mistake, would be awesome in itself - the album almost immediately and furiously launches into the title track, "Fire in the Sky." From there it's a constant barrage of guitar solos, catchy riffs and angry vocals in an all-out beautiful assault on your senses that leaves you gasping for breath by the time the final song, "Last Regret," comes to a close.

Real metal isn't dead. You just have to look a little harder to find it. Fortunately for anyone reading this review, you just did.

If you like bands like Motorhead, Pantera, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, stop reading right now. Just buy Fire in the Sky. It's good to see a young group out there who keeps the spirit of classic metal alive while blending it with their own unique sound. My favorite song is "Last Regret" but there's no filler on this record."
Off to a good start

"Good, loud heavy metal album from a new group out of Chicago. The songs are catchy and well written, and reminds us what heavy metal should sound like! You can really hear their influences come through - Black Sabbath and Dio are two that come to mind right away.

I am eagerly anticipating their next offering; if it builds on the groundwork laid by Fire In The Sky, it will not disappoint!
