"Helen Forrest to me was one of the greatest voices of this century from the first time I heard her sing with Harry James and his Orchestra. I will always remember her walking through the crowd in "Springtime in the Rockies" singing "I had the Craziest Dream". This collection demonstrates her capablity with a song. I Hadn't Anyone - Shows the yearning as "Craziest Dream" did, Paradise - show her sexy side as she hums the few notes on the end of the refrain. Why she never crossed over from band singer to pop singer and made it big is a mystery to me, considering some of the talent that came out of the Big Band Era."

"Helen Forrest has a great voice. This CD is packed with her renditions of some really great standard tunes. A good addition to any collection of 20th century jazz music."
