"I saw these guys back in 1993 in Colorado Springs at an indoor skate park show. They were playing with a bunch of other punk bands. I will never forget how intense and original this band was. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like anyone at the show "got" their music. I didn't even know their albums were still available until I checked Amazon. I highly recommend checking out Gnaw or their first album, You Happy Face. I picked up both cd's years ago at the show and still listen to them a lot. I really believe these guys were ahead of their time. Many bands these days seem to use elements of Hedgehog's sound. If you like something different and challenging to listen to, I highly recommend Hedghog. They're impossible to define but have the aggressiveness of punk and metal with a progressive edge to them. There are also elements of jazz and funk as well. Instead of trying to describe them, just buy their cd and find out for yourself!"
