"hawkwind the phscydelic band from the seventies who had a hit sung by the growling man lemmy this is "live and rare"

a cd i found with the other album for a "£5.00 a bargain if i ever did see one HMV have no idea at all, what's rare

this album i've never seen in the shops again and it's really bad because it's a class live album yeah the sound quality may be a bit dodgy, but the quality of the songs are there

features "born to go" off there first slbum

"silver machine" the classic first single"

"angels of death"heavy song dude

"who's gonna win the war" polictics

and the classic trippy song of fifteen minutes

"you shouldn't do that" s mega epic yeah it's repetitive

a class album from the pioneers of space rock and the backbone of the heavy metal band lemmy would leader "motorhead""

"A decent quality budget priced CD aimed probably at Hawkwind die-hards,for the most part. However,if you happen to be a new fan,'Live&Rare...' isn't bad to have first, before you have a chance to check out all their actual album reissues.Total of fifteen cuts, several of which came off their 'Acid Daze 1' and 'Acid Daze 2' compilation discs. It's always nice to hear the "Motorhead" edit where Dave Brock sings instead of Lemmy,as well as these live versions of "Born To Go","Earth Calling","Space Is Deep" and "You Shouldn't Do That".Those last two came from 'Best&The Rest Of...'(see my review). Also dug the rehearsal cut of "Magma" and their experimental tune "Douglas In The Jungle" that SEEMS like it's a different mix than the one that showed up on one of the 'Weird Tape' releases.Funny thing, this CD has been out for awhile now and until recently,I've never seen a copy of it anywhere.Go figure."
