"Made in USA in 2000, Serial# MM-00014, Playing Time 41:27A friend of mine introduced me to this record when it was first released in 1986 as part of the "Metal Method" of guitar playing. This was only available as a mail-order, so I asked him to order it for me. It impressed me at the time, and it still does. Its intent was to demonstrate what you play by learning a few techniques (yeah, right!)Yes, it's been 15 years, and what first caught my attention is still true today: Doug Marks' (HAWK) playing technique is versatile, and the supporting musicians do a great job. The vocals are handled by David Fefolt, a great blend of John Lawton (from URIAH HEEP fame) and Ronnie James Dio.Good energy and enthusiasm, 10 catchy melodies, great to listen to. The production is a bit basic by today's standards, but the tracks are addictive. Sort of a blend between early NIGHT RANGER and DIO (the vocals make this comparison inevitable...)I'm happy to see it has finally seen the light of day on CD; a great addition to your hard rock collection: unknown, but worth it!"
