"OK, SO I WAS LIVING IN LA IN 1990 AND WORKING AT TOWER RECORDS IN TORRENCE. MY FRIEND LIZ INTRODUCED ME TO SOME FRIENDS WHO HAD A GROUP CALLED HARLOW. I GOT A TAPE FROM THE LEAD SINGER AND LOVED IT. THE SONG "CHAIN REACTION" WAS FREAKIN AWESOME.. I LOST THE TAPE AND HAD NEVER SEEN OR HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THEM SINCE UNTIL NOW! MAN, I HOPE THIS IS IT! I AM IN HEAVEN. AWESOME GROUP, AND SOME DAMN GOOD VOCALS!!!"
Bluesy melodic rock with female vocals

"Harlow was another one of the "too tough for pop" rocker chick bands that seemed to be everywhere in the first couple years of the `90s. Like similar artists Saraya, Chrissy Steele, Cell Mates, and Skew Siskin, Harlow's music was pretty straightforward rock & roll that bordered on being AOR.

I don't think you could ever consider this a "great" album, but there's still plenty to enjoy. The vocals are tough without sounding overly raspy, and seem perfectly suited to this type of music. The songs rock pretty hard, and feature some great melodies and better than average guitar solos. It's a little poppy, more than a little bluesy, and has some real power.

It's nothing terribly original, but Harlow is still an enjoyable melodic rock album with some pretty impressive vocals. If you like your rocker chicks to, you know, actually rock, you'll want to check this one out."
