Recorded under the "Nimbus" label in England in 1991, the sound quality of the recording is quite good by "Western Audiophile Standards." If you listen to and purchase North Indian classical music buy this recording.If you have never listened to classical music outside the European tradition this is your chance to do so. The scale of the Raag is quite similar to that used in European folk music making the music quite accessible to individuals who are new to Indian music.The tone, timbre or sound (call it what you will) of the bamboo flute is sublime. The performance is awesome. A masterpiece."
