CD Reviews

I feel a revolution coming on!
Keely | Denver, CO | 02/11/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This revolutionary band breaks all of the musical paradigms in existence. Well, quite a few at least. Their eclectic assortment of instruments, including a trombone, accordian, flute, clarinet, sax, keyboards, xylophone, a few foreign instruments, as well as a few traditional instruments, makes for an incredible listening experience. All of the musicians are extremely talented individuals, and they play their instruments in a way nobody has before using anything musical that could be made with that hunk of wood, metal, etc. The enjoyment that will come from this record is more than worth the price of the cd. It's even worth the shipping charges!"

"I just recently experienced one of the most emotional concerts I've ever been to. It's like a roller coaster ride.....on speed, one moment you're flying through the air screaming with shrills of laughter, the next you could very well break something. Take Danny Elfman, a wee bit of Modest Mouse, a whole lot of Pee Wee's Big adventures, put them all together, throw them into a circus tent and you get a group of extremely talented men, communicating through music as I have never heard it before. They take sounds that travel around the world, from China to Itlay, to outer space..... AND BEYOND. For anyone who is bored with the norm in music today, check out this band. it'll blow you're socks off.....seriously though....I'm not joking...for real though....alrighty."
It's Danny Elfman at the circus on acid, and it's fantabulous

"(It's a word)This is definately my favorite "Hamster" album. If you have never heard them before, this is a great album to start with. I have devirginized a lot of people to the wonderful world of hamster, and nobody has EVER been disappointed. This group of outrageously sexy middle- aged men are going to be huge someday, so you might as well be able to say, "Yeah, I knew Hamster Theatre when they were just they were just wee little hamsterettes.""
