As the newest island in the Hawaiian chain, Kama'ehu, begins its slow, deliberate ascent from the bottom of the ocean floor, the members of Halau o Kekuhi honor its impending birth with a CD of 16 original and 2 traditional chants. These chants were originally introduced to the public during "Hanau Ka Moku," a stage presentation that celebrates this new life that will emerge to the surface thousands of years from now. Halau O Kekuhi is well respected as a valuable cultural resource and known internationally for dynamic performances of hula in the 'Aiha'a style.
