An eminent display of guitar repertoire mastery

From the lilting, romantic barcarole Julia Florida of Barrios, to the strident energy and passion of Danza Espanola No. 5 by Granados, Norbert treats us to a dynamic journey of sonorous emotions. For the music lover, this recording offers a great introduction to the world of the Spanish guitar, but for the guitar enthusiast, an array of well-polished musical gems to be inspired by and finally, in the challenging preludes of Villa-Lobos, a level of mastery which few concert guitarists have attained and that mere mortals can only marvel at.
