"You can hear older hits from GUACO, recorded with new sound. Cepillao, Billetero, Aguas de Cristal sounds excelent. Four new song with quality. La Turbulencia and Medio Loco are the best."

Guaco - PHENOMENAL!

"This is the best Guaco CD by far to date, and it is hard to imagine that they could surpass this! It has a rich variety of traditional rhythyms, salsa, gaitas, cha-cha-cha (track 12 is my favorite!), with interesting and innovative elements of jazz and even rock. The vocalizations are rich and complex. Even if you know next to nothing about latin music, this is a jewel! It doesn't even matter if you don't speak Spanish...you don't need to! This is the absolute all-time best album I've heard this year!"
GUACO, los Velociraptor de Maracaibo Venezuela

"Guaco is one of the most progressive and innovative bands in latin music history, comparable only with bands of the caliber of Irakere, Van Van and Batacumbele. It has crafted a very intricate and complex sound by fusing funk, rock, jazz and salsa's montuno, all tied to the rythmatic pattern of 'Gaita', their hometown folkloric music. Guaco is fast, Guaco is precise, Guaco is colorful, and most of all, Guaco is extremely compelling. It has also done what very few bands have been able to achieve, which is to elaborate a very sofisticated and technically impressive sound that meets the highest standards of 'quality' music, while managing to be commercial and easy to listen at the same time. 'Como era y como es' is a summary of old hits and new tunes, performed by a group of renegade and open-minded musicians obsessed with achiving perfection and with a constant thirst for exploration. It is about time for this 'incredibly unknown' superband to bypass the limitations self-imposed by an always captive venezuelan market, and have the exposure it deserves to the rest of the world... so everybody can meet Guaco, las BESTIAS de Maracaibo, Venezuela. ""Que molleja! Guaco" its a frase that means like "Guaco, awesome" in the "maracuchos" language. Since its release, like two or three months ago, this new piece of art is a wonderful representation of the huge lifetime achievement of Guaco, the number one band of venezuelan music. Having saling more than 35,000 copys in Venezuela in such a short period of time, give us a clue of what this CD is going to do in the next days to come. "La Turbulencia" is the first single to top the charts in Venezuela, but I think the whole CD is an ode to the latin rythms. If you love "musica latina" you definetly gonna love Guaco "Como Era Y Como Es"."
