Better late than never. With McEnroes debut album 'Disenfranchised' only but a couple of weeks away (we hope) here is a nice supply of the previous best album on the killer Peanuts & Corn label, fresh and new to the Boomkat. Gruf plays the hip hop druid, commenting on the worlds wrongs from a hip hop perspective with vocal help from John Smith, Pip Skid and McEnroe himself. Many subjects tackled in a humorous but deadly serious style. Roddy McEnroes production is truly world class, tweaked downtempo flows with deep bass, swirling samples and crisp resonances. Alongside Gruf's assured delivery makes 'Druidry' one of the finest hip hop albums in a while . Sadly CD only but still truly essential.
