"As a bluegrass lover, I, too want to warn anyone who likes traditional (or progressive) acoustic bluegrass to be warned. If your tastes run more toward "urban", you'll probably dig it.If you enjoy a pounding drumbeat kicking you continuously in the solar plexus (to remind you where da' beatz at), this dreck's for you!"
Very funky, hard to categorize but GREAT!

"This album took me by surprise. I saw it in the bluegrass section and expected a fairly traditional rendition of the songs. Wow, was I surprised when I heard the bluesy, funky, arrangements of these songs. The vocals are great and the musicians do a wonderful job of mixing the blues and R&B versions of the great bluegrass tunes. Buy this one and share it with your friends."
INCREDIBLE!!!

"THIS is the best CD I've gotten in years. Scott Rouse is a genius at combining Bluegrass and Funk. If you get it you get it, if you don't you don't. I get it."
A great surprise

"I have never owned anything close to groovegrass before, but when I heard Salty Dog Blues, I fell in love with it. I now love most of the songs on the CD. I will admit even though it isn't my usual type of music, that doesn't mean the CD is for everyone. I agree it is best to listen to the samples before buying. If you like what you hear, though, don't hesitate to buy it!"
One awesome album
