There's a new star shining brightly in the modern metal scene's sky since summer 2014: Groovenom! In terms of music, the sextet from Dresden pursues a clear vision: Stylish, rhythmic, heavy and most of all danceable - Groovenom manage the balancing act between deathcore and pop music! By now well-known for their spectacularly choreographed live-shows, these guys have already played alongside bands like Deadlock, Desasterkids, Placenta or Fall Of Gaia and have long since overcome being a secret among the scene. As a prelude to their cooperation, "Pink Lion", the second studio album of Groovenom, will be released by NOIZGATE Records on April 8th, 2016 - supplemented by four bonus tracks and presented in a fancy new look. Contentwise, on "Pink Lion" the band deals with the growing intolerance and uniformity of the metal scene in a deliberately sarcastic way, provocatively portraying themselves as the last hope of a youth that can only think in stereotypes. Thereby, Groovenom skillfully assimilate various manifestations of modern pop culture, forming their very own, dynamic sound: Solid downtuning-riffs, rough breakdowns, forceful growls and virtuosic drumming, meeting with techno beats, trendy sing-alongs, rap parts and guitar solos suitable for the big stadium stage. Incidentally the album has been produced by Eskimo Callboy guitarist Daniel Hani. An explosive mixture: Groovenom means dancing, moshing, partying, laughing, crying - and en passant making the world a better place!
