From 700 entries to 1! Universal Music, in conjunction with Screentime and SBS-TV, have been searching for a song to inspire the Socceroos to glory in their 2006 World Cup campaign. Over the past six weeks the judges (including Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, Australian Idol's John Foreman, Alex Dimitriades and Deborah Conway) along with the voting public, have whittled down the songs to the final two - John Duffin's quirky ditty Here Come The Socceroos and Freedom of Thought's urban rock-rap Green and Gold. Both tracks - the winner and the runner-up - are available on this CD. 2006.
