CD ReviewsVisualize Whirrled Peas . . . . with Greaze Matthew G. Lipschultz | St. Paul, MN USA | 08/12/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "A Chunky, funky entre into the studio world, Visualize World Greaze was Greazy Meal's first album. Starting out as a live band that took classic covers to the woodshed, Greazy popularity grew out of a Sunday evening ritual attended by many Minnesotans. With two ex- Prince alums, as well as the nephew of Funkytown's Steve Greenberg, (John Strawberry Fields on guitar), this group also boasted a killer rhythm section, Lead vox, percussion/backing vox, and a rapper/hip-hop asthetic. This album has a diverse list of writers contributing creative juices. From an ode to "Jah's Herb" (Urban Herbalist) to the warnings of violence (The Bullet), to the connection between The Band, their fans, and funk/soul music (see Old Soul Cafe or Vitamin U) this album re-energized Minnesota's local music scene. Also, check out the hidden track behind #1 (go backwards). Greazy Meal has two up-coming gigs at The Fine Line in downtown MPLS on September 23rd & 24th. Buy Visualize World Greaze and be happy with you purchase. (I know you will be). Kid C" Awesome Surprise!! Matthew G. Lipschultz | 06/30/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I bought this disc just to check out what Tommy B. was doin', bein' a Prince fan and all. WOW! This thing spent a whopping 4 months straight in either my car or home cd player. Some of the best funk around!!" KILLER FUNK! Matthew G. Lipschultz | 06/16/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Get this CD while you can- Greazy Meal called it quits in June 99"
