"This is a winner. A peek back into the past when times were better and the music was pure. This is a MUST HAVE for any pure music enthusiast and two thumbs up to Amazon for having this one available."
Why Are 'The Sequence' Kept A Secret?

"When you hear about women in the beginning of hip-hop, you mostly hear about Salt-N-Pepper, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shaunte, and Queen Latifah. But you rarely hear about The Sequence, a female rap trio that came out in the late 70's/early 80's. I have never heard of this group myself until a few months ago when I was listening to the radio and heard "Funk You Up." It was my first time hearing this song, yet it was familiar because it has been sampled by various hip-hop artists. What I like about The Sequence is that they were having fun, combining their rap and vocal skills to create an entertaining medley of old school hip-hop and R&B. But without a doubt, "Funk You Up" has to be the best song on this CD. Hoolllaaa!"
