"This is the first of three Disc which chronologically go through the piano works of Percy Grainger. The CD starts with some Handelian pieces which he wrote when he was around 11. These pieces are charming and pleasant to listen to. Penelope Thwaites' playing is perfect as usual, capturing (esp. on In Dahomy) the vivacity with which Grainger played. This isn't the best of the Grainger Edition but you'll thoroughly enjoy it if you buy it!"
