CD Reviews

A Beautiful Mix of Phenomenal Super Exitos!!!!!!!!
07/11/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"One aspect I love about Graciela is how she always comes out with SO MANY "Super Exitos" or Greatest Hits album. She has made, so far, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 Super Exitos albums. And her most recent are "Grandes Y Nuevos Exitos, Vol. 1 and 2", which consists of 24 songs between the 2 albums. THIS album, "La Reina Del Pueblo" is not the right title. It should be "La Reina Del Mundo"!!!! I loved this album so much. I listen to it everywhere I go. Graciela's voice is so beautiful, and her music makes me happy. I would just like to say the track listing on this website is incorrect. The correct track listing for "La Reina" is: 1) Cancion De La Palomilla (Los Dos Amantes) 2) Mi Triunfo 3) Pilares De Cristal 4) Tuya 5) Estan Lloviendo Lagrimas 6) Paloma Sin Nido 7) Baraja De Oro 8) Tu Me Dijiste Adios 9) Mi Gusto Es 10) No Me Trates Mal 11) Sentimiento De Dolor 12) Tu Recado 13) Hasta Que Amanezca 14) Voy A Morir Por Ti. The best songs on here were really ALL of them, but if you want my opinion on the BEST OF THE BEST, then i would say the 3 banda songs i liked on here the most were "Cancion De La Palomilla", "Estan Lloviendo Lagrimas" and "Hasta Que Amanezca". They were all from her album "Tesoro" in 1995, which went double platinum. My favorite song on the whole album was "Tuya", the lovely and super famous mariachi ballad from her album Tuya in 1997. This is still the most brilliant song of her career to date. I also liked "Paloma Sin Nido", "Tu Me Dijiste Adios", "No Me Trates Mal", "Tu Recado", "Mi Triunfo", and "Voy A Morir Por Ti". They were all from the SAME album, "Graciela Beltran- 1991" done in mariachi style, con el Mariachi Sol de Mexico. "Mi Gusto Es" is the only Norteno-style song featured on this album. As a whole, this album was phenomenal, i loved it!"
