CD Reviews

Am I missing something?

"I'm going to keep this short. The vocals. They suck. Bad. I mean if you are a misfits fan at all you cannot say you will immediately like this. I myself was hoping that Doyle's return to music would be better than this wad of poo. It really sounds like bad wrestling metal and the singer sounds like a poor man's Phil Anselmo (I'm not a Pantera fan by the way). I heard a demo of the Beautiful Frankenstein track with Michale Graves on vocals and it actually sounded great. This album reminds me of why Danzig 6-8 sucked. There is just nothing exciting about this. Now there is hope: The guy who sang on this record is already gone from the band lol. Goolsby from Blitzkid is playing bass in the band and Blitzkid is probably the best thing to happen to Horror rock/punk since The Misfits themselves so hopefully with Goolsby's influence they will get a better singer and write better songs. Hell, even Blitzkids drummer is in this band now! Skip this and get a Blitzkid cd PLEEZ!"
Could be better with a different vocalist...

"CD Pros: Sound quality is godly; music is super heavy!!

CD Cons: The vocalist totally blows. Sounds like Glenn Danzig was standing right next to this guy in the recording booth coaching him on how exactly to do his vocals.

Overall, would be a better album with a different vocalist. I'd love to see these guys live since I heard the vocalist on this album is no longer with the band (wonder why?)."
It's good.

"Well, to put it to you simply, Gorgeous Frankenstein sounds alot like Danzig's heavier stuff. The vocals I thought were pretty good, while Frankenstein did put together some pretty good riffs. Oh, and Glenn Danzig produced this album. If you like Danzig's latest recordings (666 satan's child, circle of snakes) than you should enjoy Gorgeous Frankenstein."
