Short Film feat. Interview
Overall, the Twist single is great. It combines the UK singles and DVD single, but leaves out a remix of Forever and live versions of Train and Strict Machine. The single mix, although only slightly different from the album version, adds effects to the song that give it even more energy. The remixes are pretty good, with Jacques Lu Cont's mix being the more memorable. Yes Sir is a cover of Yes Sir I Can Boogie and is the highlight for me of this single--it is very sexy and electronically pleasing. Deer Stop live is also decent. The video included is NOT the music video for Twist--it is a live video of Twist recorded at Somerset House. Altough it is listed as a 'short film' it really is not. It is just the 3 1/2 minute live video with interview snippets of Alison speaking about irrelevant topics over it. The live video is not great and is further brought down by the overlapping interview. Don't buy the DVD version of this! Otherwise, the single is worth getting for the audio, though, and if you are into Twist or the Black Cherry album at all, you will enjoy it."
Goldfrapp are amazing!

"Goldfrapp are an amazing band. Everything Allison Goldfrapp sings I eat up. She has a beautiful voice and add it to the great electronic music they produce it sounds excellent. Twist is a pretty noisy track with the electronic screams and screeches and beatz it works perfectly! Twist it round again and again. I love Yes Sir on the Twist single. Totally reminds me of the 80's. Excellent track to get down to. Man it's awesome. I don't like live music so I wont mention anything about Deer Stop. Next up though we have Twist (Jacques Lu Cont's Conversion Perversion Mix). Jacques Lu Cont aka, Stuart Price who is also known as Les Rythmes Digitales, Thin White Duke is the guy who produced the upcoming Madonna album Confessions On A Dancefloor. Can't wait for that as I really love his sound. Anyway the Jacques Lu Cont remix is awesome. It actually sounds like his usual remixes but then again it doesn't. It's a little different but his traditional beat is there. Lastly we have another remix of Twist by Dimitri Tikovoi. Never heard of the guy but the remix keeps it in the tradition of the original beat and makes it another screeching and scratching remake of the excellent track. Definitely worth it if you are a fan of Goldfrapp or Electronica/Dance/Club music.

"Yes sir they can boogie. The single is worth having for this song alone."
