The real blast!

"Golden Earring has always been a LIVE BAND!If their first live album didn't really recreate the power ofG.E. on stage, this 2nd LIVE really does!
Recorded on their PRISONER OF THE NIGHT tour, this live album contains lots of highly boosted songs taken from that album.
A couple of old tracks BACK HOME, BUDDY JOE bring us back to an almost forgotten period-before RADAR LOVE.
The marvelous SLEEPWALKIN' and its bass/drums duo, SAVE YOUR SKIN
(stairway to heaven's dutch brother) and the classics Long Blond Animal and Week-end Love, all in their best versions!
A REAL KILLER-LIVE album featuring the energy, the sweat and the sincerity of a Golden Earring concert."

"I bought this album never hearing any songs on it because I love Golden Earring Live. This album quickly became one of my favorites along with "Live" and "Live From The Twilight Zone".

"2nd Live" reflects a period of basic rock and roll. The songs are not as sophisticated as the "Live" or "Twilight Zone" periods with the bulk of its songs from "No Promises, No Debts" and "Prisoner of the Night", but "2nd Live" keeps a fast pace throughout, and the songs are better live than in the studio.

The music is more of a raw rock sound with a pounding beat through most of the songs. The guitar work is in a grinding fashion, yet it is brilliant. The bass and drums are no less than fantastic.

I find "Sleepwalkin'" with its bass solo intro to be the highlight of the album. The album is great from beginning to end with Barry playing flute at the end on "Back Home". The band is full of enthusiasm and this album is charged with energy.

If you are a fan of live Golden Earring you may try this one."

"i have been a big fan of the earring for decades. preferably, their stuff up to moontan. so, i was a little hesitant about getting this cd. their other live cds are pretty good, and this one has their more recent material. this cd just rocks from the first song. high energy and great guitar work. gone are their more progressive roots and more straight up rock and roll. extremely well done. my only complaint is that both cds are short (under 39' each)and could of been released as a single disk. other than that, be prepared to rock and roll all night long. highly recommended."
