"A brilliant album. I never get sick of listening to it.If you like this album, you'd also like 'Oceania', their second album, and all of Shane Howard's album's (the main singer from Goanna). All a similar style, unfortunately none available through Amazonn yet."

"Still heard regularly on radio in Oz, this album deserves dusting off and a regular outing - if you haven't heard it then listen to it and buy it - if you enjoy Icehouse you'll proabably like this earlier Oz Band. Its still clean, fresh and original. Only wish I could replace my tape of the second Goanna album - 'Oceania' - which is just as good as 'Spirit of Place'. Hope to replace it through Amazon soon!!!"
