Synopsis

Album Description
A new voice in the ambient/space/instrumental genres, composer Glen Tarachow dives deeply into a world of eerie and exhilarating fantasy with his debut CD, Waterclock. An alchemy of soaring guitar layers and hypnotic percussion beats, this highly evocative ambient landscape is darkly soothing and contemplative. Waterclock flows continuously without pause, making it supremely suited for deep massage and meditation.

Beautifully lonely journey

"It's very hard to accurately describe how this album truly makes me feel. It's like leaving your home late at night during a moderate down-pour, catching a cab cross-town, and breaking into an art museaum for the sole (soul) purpose of viewing a Monet, all by yourself, in the dark.

Really. I know how abstract that sounds.

The best way to listen to this work is by yourself, in the dark. Try not to hear the whir of your CD player or the muffled TV in another room. Focus on the music. Don't attribute it to the man who created it, though there be no denying him. Try to imagine that the music has somehow manifested itself from your own waking mind... you might find something. The final track, "Dissolve," is breath-taking. It's like you've spent the first six tracks discovering yourself, then your new-found reality "dissolves" away as you descend back into this reality that we share with each other. You'll soon find yourself, putting the lights back on, switching the CD back to track 1, hitting the lights again and seeking out that waking dream, one more time..."
