CD Reviews

TTD, Beatles, Strings and beautiful Things!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I get carried away when i write, so i'll be brief (as i possibly can). This album is WORTH EVERY CENT I PAID 4 IT!!! The orchestral arrangments are beautiful, his voice is BEAUTIFUL, haunting, dreamy and has just the right amount of harshness to put him on the pedestal of: HEY, THIS GUY REALLY PAYS ATTENTION TO LIFE. If you like your vocals layered with more vocal tracks, YOU'LL LOVE THE ALBUM! If you like Terrence Trent D'arby and the Beatles, YOU'LL LOVE THE ALBUM! if you like melencholly lament, with a sense of hope and serene resolve - YOU'LL LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! This album reminds me of spring. It's the kind of album you don't just sit down and play as background music, NOPE-NOT AT ALL! It's the kind of album that demands that you listen to each word he speaks, and you are not dissapointed by what he says. It has conciousness, and a playfulness that (as i said before) reminds one of spring. The comming of life. The music is real, not the victom of over production, or the coldness of a drum machine. REAL INSTRUMENTS, REAL VOICE, REAL WORDS, REAL AFFECTION - REAL!! Buy it, you will NOT...BE...DISSAPOINTED!!!"

"like a crosstown traffic jam between seal, ttd, roni size, and roachford(whose voice is eerily similar to scott's), glen scott fuses rock, drum n' bass, r&b, and pop into a steamy stew. heaven is just funky, my world predates cher and madonna's vocoder realised vocals, valentine malloy is as sweet a ballad as anything oasis has come up with. give this one a try, you may be suprised."
