Album Description

Giovanni Sgambati (1841-1914) was another Italian composer who stuck to instrumental music. He was an admired pianist ? a contemporary described him, "as well as impeccable technique, clear and confident even in the most complex and difficult of passages, he possessed a truly unique touch of exquisite sweetness, sovereign artistry in the use of the pedals and rare good taste in interpretation." This CD continues the unique Tactus edition of his complete piano works.
