CD Reviews

Great remix album, but could have been better

"Seeing that amazon doesn't have the tracklist posted, I'll post it since I found it somewhere else on the net.

1. Ohh Aah Just A Little Bit (Motiv 8 Extended Vocal Mix)

2. I Belong To You (12" Extended Mix)

3. Fresh! (Bayside Vocal Club Mix)

4. Gimme Some Love (Metro's Extended Eurobeat Mix)

5. Ti Amo (Bayside Boys Club Mix)

6. Higher Than Love (Motiv 8 Steinway Mix)

7. Everytime I Fall (Eurobeat Mix)

8. I Belong To You (Phat 'N' Phunky Club Mix)

9. Gimme Some Love (Hysteric Ego "Rahh" Mix)

10. Ti Amo (Metro's "Summer Of Love" Mix)

I've heard many of these remixes and they are very good, most of them having the trademark Motiv 8 sound that gave Gina her breakthrough as a dance artist. The Metro produced "I Belong To You" is also fantastic as well as their remix of "Everytime I Fall". Haven't heard the Phat 'N' Phunky Club Mix of the former song, but having enjoyed their massive 97 club hit "Let's Groove Tonight" and their fantastic remix of Cher's "Believe" I bet they did a great job remixing Gina G as well. Other remixes here I have yet to hear are "Fresh!" (Bayside Boys Vocal Club Mix), "Ti Amo" (Bayside Boys Club Mix), "Gimme Some Love" (Metro's Extended Eurobeat Mix), "Gimme Some Love" (Hysteric Ego "Rahh" Mix) and "Ti Amo" (Metro's "Summer Of Love" Mix). Seeing as their original versions are great, I'm sure these remixes are decent too, knowing that the people remixing them have done good stuff before. There are some really rare remixes that are missing here and it would've been really awesome if they were included here. The Hysteric Ego and Soul Solution mixes of "Ohh Ahh Just A Little Bit" are only available on promo 12" vinyl and it would be the icing on the cake if they were released as exclusives on this album. But you can't have it all, I guess.

This album is out of print, so chances are relatively small to get a hold of it but if you should be lucky enough to find it, you will truly enjoy this remix album."
