"Buy this CD. Seriously, just buy it and listen to it.

This classic combines smooth jazz with Bossa Nova. You will suspect this was just recently made. Getz's jazz saxaphone unobtrusively blends in with the bossa nova and samba music. If you like latin music (salsa, cumbia, chamame, tango, tex-mex, or something else) you will appreciate this CD. If you like jazz (traditional, smooth, avante-garde, etc.) or rock and roll or R&B or soul, or most anything else, then this is for you. You can play it as background music for dinners or cocktails, or just play it to listen and dance (OK: this would be slow dancing rather than head bangind metallica) or just to chill while sipping wine, drinking beer, or savoring a caipirina.

Regardless of your musical background you will probably like it. People from different cultures accept it. While living and working in Central and Eastern Europe so many people commented on liking the music (Czech, Austrian, Hungarian, Bosnian and Croatian) that I used to give out copies as presents. Mexican, Greek and Colombian friends liked it. A Puerto Rican friend turned me on to this record in 1979 or 1980.

As you listen to the music you soon imagine being beach-side, the sun's rays beating down on you, the slight ocean breeze ruffling your hair and that of the pretty women you are trying to avoid staring at while you notice the seagulls crying in the distance sometimes louder than the crashing waves, sometimes not, and the scent of coco oil, and other tropical aromas, flavors and sabores.

While listening to this you may also suddenly imagine a perfect romantic time or place with a loved one, real or imagined.

If for some reason you don't like the cd, give it to a friend, or better yet hold on to it, your musical tastes will mature so that you appreciate this. Or maybe after listening to it a thousand or more times you tire of it. Just stash it away for a while and after a few months you will be pawing through your CD collection looking for it again.
