GeishaNO is the summit of three outstanding Israeli musicians; Dani Aberjel (vocals, guitars), Yaron Melloul (vocals, bass, synth), Hagai Shlezinger (drums). Based in Tel Aviv, GeishaNO has been performing and creating together for over two years while gathering a significant loyal following. Aberjel (once a member of the Walkie Talkies and Plastic Peacocks) currently works as a sound engineer and designer of guitar effects as well- which explains the unique sound the band has. Another central influence on the band's sound is Melloul's affection for electronic and industrial music, which is clearly heard in the bass guitar's unusual sound effects. If pushed to the corner with a gun at our heads, we were forced to define this eclectic music style, we'd say they're a smart combination between British and American Alternative Rock. You can hear the likes of Jesus Lizard, Tomahawk, Cave-In, Radiohead, Shipping News, 90's Touch and Go, and Amrep style. But, overall, Idle Words is greater then the sum of its influences.
