"I must come clean and confess that i'm a fan of Gary. This man can really play the romantic piano. He has a good sense of feel for the music that he performs. He does a good job with taking us fan on the journey.For this project Gary turned his piano on to the Billie Holiday Songbook. He did a good job with this tribute project. He made a lot of the songs sound even better than when Billie performed them. The only concern that I had for this cd was the repertoire. I know that most of these tunes were Billies' best songs, but some of these pieces I really didn't like. I think part of the problem was the tunes themselves and part of the problem was the arrangements that Gary came up with. On some of these songs it seems that Gary was off base with his performances.I think that this is a cd that should be recommended to Garys' fans."
