CD Reviews

Great CD

"Warning to Witchblade fans: the version of "Cry Little Sister" is NOT the remix that was done specifically for Witchblade. I was disappointed at first, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the entire CD is excellent!"
The Return of Great Songwriting!

"It's refreshing to know that amidst the cluttered airwaves and cd bins of pre-packaged Britney Spears/Backstreet Boys type of product there still exist great songwriters. G Tom Mac's music is every bit as vital and current with today's sound but has one glaring difference - substance. In the same instant I was bouncing around to the infectious groove of "One Whiskey" I was totally relating to G Tom Mac's lyrics of trying to move on after a breakup. I think anyone who has been through a rough breakup could relate. That is the sign of a great songwriter - the ability to express his own feelings and find a commonality with his listeners. Another sign of a good song writer is to be able to produce a body of work in which each song has it's own character. I am so tired of listening to cd's where every song sounds like the last. G Tom mac shifts from the easy groove of "Shadow Walk", to the darker "Cry Little Sister", to the peppy and hummable "Happy Time" to the beautiful duet with Charlie Sexton in "Is Anybody Here?" "One Whiskey" made me want to buy this cd and the rest of the songs made me want to find more of G Tom Mac's music. Like any great cd, the more I listen to it the more I discover. This is the return of great songwriting!"
I love this album!

"I've listened to this CD I don't know how many times. G Tom Mac (well, it's really Gerard McMahon, this guy who did a song in the Lost Boys movie) writes excellent pop-rock tunes that balance sadness and joy, passion and angst in an amazing way.The songs are full of hooks that ring in your head for days--they make you feel good and make you think too. I can definitely recommend this CD. I've heard his website is pretty cool too."
