Synopsis

Product Description
G. DaPonte has spent time playing with loads of L.A. musicians, engineering a variety of recording projects, setting up several indie labels and programming radio. Recently, DaPonte finished a five year stint hosting the eclectic weekly radio show Night Song on Los Angeles' premier public radio outlet, KCRW. In addition, he's recently had five songs used on ABC TV's prime time show Men In Trees. "It just seemed the time was really right make this record. The music ramped up while doing the TV songs and then some of my favorite musician friends were available. It just really started rolling along in a very organic manner and that's how it should be". On Let It All Come Down DaPonte is backed by band members Charlie Peterson (Steel Guitars) & Jeff Holmes (Guitar) along with such notable players as: Taras Prodaniuk (Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson), Danny McGough (Tom Waits, Social Distortion, Shivaree), Duane Jarvis (John Prine, Frank Black), Brian Whelan (The Broken West), Rob Douglas (Everest), Doug Pettibone (Lucinda Williams) along with Drummer and Engineer David Raven (David J, Anne McCue, Mike Ness). Sonic touchstones on the album range from the Rolling Stones, Faces & Crazy Horse era Neil Young to more modern alternative songwriter types like My Morning Jacket, Daniel Lanois and Wilco. "I'm influenced by, and listen to, such a wide range of stuff that it's not always clear what's seeping into the mix. Hopefully, it just sounds like me".
