"I am constantly on the search for new artists/bands to discover in the goth and industrial genre. A year ago I came across Frightdoll on Myspace but it wasn't until recently did I finally get around to buying one of Frightdoll's albums. I recently acquired the latest Frightdoll album ASSIMILATION ILLUSION. I have to admit I didn't take to this cd right away but after listening to the album, I have grown to love the music. Frightdoll's music reminds me of some of my favorite artists/bands on Alfa Matrix records like Diffuzion and Unter Null. Her vocals are often distorted. While the beats aren't as fast paced and in your face like the artists I just mentioned, the songs are still danceable. Granted that Frightdoll's music isn't anything I haven't already heard before I still think ASSIMILATION ILLUSION is still worthy of five stars."
