"We'll start in the beginning: Stacked Actors, the controversial song said to be about Courtney Love, is probably one of the heaviest songs that the Foo Fighters ever wrote. It ranks up there with I'll Stick Around, Weenie Beenie, and Monkey Wrench. Breakout was my favorite song before I got the album because it was so nice. This song sounds very poppy, but it's punkish at the same time. Learn To Fly, the current hit, is wonderful. 3 chord songs don't ALWAYS suck, as this one demonstrates. The beginning Gimme Stitches sounds sort of like "Slow Ride" by Foghat. Great song. Generator, my guess on the first single, employs the talkbox, made famous by Peter Frampton. It sounds like Garbage's "When I Grow Up" in the middle. I didn't expect that from this, but it's very pleasant. Aurora is beyond description. The music is magical, the vocals are beautiful, everything. Definitely the opus of the album. Live-In Skin is one of the underappreciated songs, but it's great nonetheless. It sounds like old Rush stuff. Next Year, I'm convinced, is a Christmasy sounding song. Very well put together. Headwires, my other favorite, is also Rush-esque, but newer sounding. 'Tis on the same plane with Learn To Fly, except this is more of a "sit back and listen to the tunes" tune rather than "rock out and scream" song. Ain't It The Life is a VERY country-influenced song, but it's wonderful. Interesting steel guitar solo in the middle. Then M.I.A. is very good in the typical Foo Fighters album closer mindset. It is a powerful and charming song. If you are an open-minded Foo Fighters fan, get this album. And make sure you put the disc in your comp and try out the ECD stuff!"
Great rock music, with the Foo Fighters!

"This is a very good CD. The thing I love so much about this CD, is not the vocals, but the awesome music. The guitars and the drums go so well together and they never lose the beat. Let's get a run down of this CD:1.)Stacked Actors ~ This is one of my favorite songs. Great energy and makes you want to break something. Woohooo! 5/52.)Breakout ~ Another one of my favorites. This song also has that energy that makes you feel powerful. 5/53.)Learn To Fly ~ The first single released from this album. A pure rock classic. Yummy! 5/54.)Gimme Stitches ~ This is one of those songs with incredible guitar music and makes you want to dance. Good lyrics also. 5/55.)Generator ~ Different, but cool sounding at the beginning, and keeps a midtempo beat. 4/56.)Aurora ~ This is the albums first "ballad". More sensitive lyrics and more relaxing. 4/57.)Live-In Skin ~ Back to more in your face music. This is a great one to play loud. Good lyrics on this on too. 4/58.)Next Year ~ This is my favorite song on this album. Another slower one, but still has enough energy to keep you interested. Good lyrics and a steady beat. 5/59.)Headwires ~ This is a midtempo song. This is a really good song with cool lyrics, and the best part is the chorus. 4/510.)Ain't It The Life ~ Good drum beat and good lyrics. Also more relaxing. 4/511.)M.I.A. ~ Good end for the album. A slower song to end out the album which is always a good way to end. Gets more powerful in the chorus. This is one of those songs that is good to listen to real loud. 5/5The foo fighters are a great band with a lot of talent and you should buy this CD today if you don't already have it. It's really cool how they can do really powerful energetic songs and also do slower songs, and no matter which it is, they always sound good, and that is the bottom line."

"This is some of the most original and beautiful music to come out of the 90's. Foo Fighters are the best thing to ever happen to Dave Grohl. Now he was finally able to step into the spotlight and flex his msucial muscles. He writes wonderful lyrics and made a flawless transtition from drums to the guitar. He has a great voice and is one of the best front men/stage presences I have ever seen. Generator is the best song, familiar fast paced and up beat FF rock 'n' roll. Learn To Fly is a great commcercial and it produced one of the best videos ever. Next Year is a slow and adventurous number, quite excellent song writing. Gimme Stitches is funky and fresh and Breakout is a scream out loud crowd pleaser. I give this album my highest recommendation."
