Who said it was from Sudan anyway?

"Just to redress the balance against the pointless one-star review...
This is a collection of gorgeous, langorous songs beautifully performed.
From the liner notes: The soul of the Sundanese people is conveyed in these songs which evoke vanished grandeur, political and personal trials, sadness, love, restrained anger, exquisite delicacy, laughter and spicey humour, soft breezes, and cascading water, filling lush green nature with its thousand sounds.
The Sundanese language itself is plump and rhythmic:
Amit ampun nya paralun
Neda panjang nya ngampura
Ka luhur ka Sang Rumuhun
Ka Batari ka batari
Ka Batari Naga numpi
Amit ngahudang wayangkeun.
All in all this album is a sensual delight and a great introduction to the traditional music and culture of this region.
