"I first heard foghat in 1973 just after the release of thier first self titled album. I was immediately hooked. I've been a huge fan ever since. This new album without Rod Price on guitar or Lonsome Dave on vocals did concern me. But after listening one time I could feel again the magic this band created over 30 years ago. Very remarkable. This album at times reminds me of Humble Pie and one song is a perfect AC/DC meets foghat match. Throughout this album is the signature slide guitar sound that Foghat brought to hard rock. A classic example of what good 70's rock and roll was all about. Foghat creates a unique blend of blues rock with a boogie soul. Maybe that was Lonesome Dave's genius to the music he helped create. And today his spirit lives on with this excellent band who carry the ball very well. Lest we all forget it was Lonesome Dave who found Foghat's newest guitar player. Dave you were prescient once again. Buy this CD. Buy it for the 70's . Buy it because you liked Foghat in their prime. Buy it because it's better than any other wanna be 70's music being made today. Buy it because you'll absolutely love it. Buy it because this really is Foghat and they sound damn good. Somewhere in Rock N Roll heaven Lonesome Dave is smiling big time!"

"Calling this band Foghat is sorta like calling the Coverdale/Bolin led band Deep Purple. Nice try, but not the same thing. It goes to show that some people are not replaceable, as is the result here of putting Bryan Bassett and Charlie Huhn in Lonesome Dave Peverett and Rod Price's place. Lonesome Dave is simply irreplaceable...gone are his songwriting abilities and distinct voice that made Foghat the successful act they once were. Huhn provides a vocal more on par with Chris Robinson and Bon Scott, very different than Peverett's. Also, Bassett's guitar work, although quite adept, doesn't have that wild and crazy agressiveness that Rod Price displayed over the years. He's a more fitting choice than Erik Cartwright, whom Peverett originally used to replace Price, but Cartwright was a more beffitting choice given the direction the band was going in back in the early eighties. What's nice is to see Roger Earl and Tony Stevens, two musicians I've admired growing up in the 70's, still playing with an enthusiam that can't be duplicated.But what of the music? Well, (...), IT'S GOOD!!! Let's put aside the fact that this band calls themselves Foghat (let's face it, I wouldn't have bought this CD if it went by any other name, and niether would you have--it's a marketing ploy, one that works). Here you have four very talented musicians making some very good music. There's an enthusiasm you can hear in the songs...this band had fun recording this CD, and you can hear it. Now, the tunes: there's a blues influence, that much is clear, but it's more from the hard-rock/metal edge than the blues rock-edge, although there are tunes that could've been recorded by Foghat, like Sex with the Ex, and Self Medicated. But there's some songs that sound like AC/DC with Bon Scott (I'm A Rock 'N Roller), The Black Crowes (Mean Woman Blues, I Feel Fine), and Stevie Ray Vaughn (Hit The Ground Running). Really, there's not a bad track here. Fans of the Blues-influenced sound will love it. I haven't had an opportunity to see this version of Foghat handle the classics...I'd imagine they'd do a wonderful job. well, whether you want to call them Foghat or not, this is a band that deserves some recognition."

Solid album, if you like blues/rock buy it.

"Was skeptical with Lonesome Dave gone and no Rod Price. But Charlie Huhn does a nice job. You can tell the band enjoyed playing together and making this album. Several very nice tracks and not a clunker in the bunch; a quality effort. This album has a couple of tracks that would be worthy of some airplay in the seventies. Classic Rock for the new century is here and it's branded Foghat; go figure."
