2010 release, the first in a series of youth Hip Hop records curated by Representing NYC. The first release features The Fly Girlz from Brownsville paired with Zebrablood (Nathan Corbin) from Brooklyn-based Electronic/Noise group Excepter. Bringing East Brooklyn youth together with indie musicians and producers who have moved to their neighborhoods, Representing NYC creates a much-needed opportunity for young artists to represent their neighborhood and forges lasting connections in these rapidly changing communities. Free of endorsements, manufactured beef, and subject matter prompted by corporate labels, this is New York through the lens of Hip Gop on the street level, in the lunch-room, and on the stoop.
