CD Reviews

INCREDIBLE!!!
09/18/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Florida Boys have never sounded better!! The recording opens up featuring new lead singer Josh Garner on "I'm Forgiven." Glen Allred takes the lead on "Without A Valley," a beautiful song that can definitely relate to the tragic September events. Hold on to your hats as Josh takes the lead again on "John Saw." Tenor singer Allen Cox is featured on the classic "My Cathedral of Dreams" and Bass Singer Gene McDonald blows the roof off with "How Great Thou Art." "A New Song" takes a different turn as it is done with a unique Spanish twist. Josh once again takes the lead on yet another classic "My God Is Real." Another different but inspiring song is up next, "A Little Faith." Glen Allred is again featured on a soon-to-be classic "Give God Your Storm." Then, it's quartet singin' at its best with "He Still Takes Time for Me." Then the CD closes out with the classic "Stand By Me." This A Cappella version of this song may just possibly be the prettiest thing I have ever heard. Don't pass up the opportunity to get this incredible CD of the Florida Boys. It has a new, yet classic sound and the guys have never sounded better."
The Best Quartet On the Road Today
Borb Cobb | Alabama | 01/03/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album alone shows by the Florida Boys can be considered the very best quartet on the road today. Their sound is polished, balanced, and contains the classic marks of a good Southern Gospel quartet--great harmony, low bass, and high tenor. As usual, baritone Glen Allred is an anchor for the group, providing a foundation of quality from which the others draw their strength. Bass Gene McDonald, lead Josh Garner, and tenor Harold Reed are turning quite a few heads across the country with this exciting sound. It is worth buying."
