CD Reviews

BEST FREAKING DANCE SONG EVER MADE!!!!!!! NO LIE.
The Technomonzter | You Tell Me | 04/22/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Let me put it to you this way: I listen to a lot of techno, dance, trance, progressive, house, and everything in between. And among all those, there is one artist, and one SONG, that shines through them all. FLOORFILLA. And... LE DELIRE. Not only does this group produce fantastic techno in general, but they even created this wondrous GEM among dance songs. The track order is thus (because amazon.com never posts this stuff when we need it):

1. Le Delire (Radio Edit)

2. Le Delire (Extended Mix 3)

3. Le Delire (DJ Cerla Floorfiller Mix)

Anyway, as I was saying, the first track, is what you'd dance to. Quick to the melody, and melodic, this is one of the two most-imitated Floorfilla songs, along with Anthem #6. The dinging, vibraphone-ie sound is unique to these guys, and other highly competent DJs have since copied it, with great results. The 2nd track is the sort of thing you'd put in a mix to listen to while driving up to the mountains, for a ski trip or such. It is my favorite of the three tracks, nice and progressive, with subtle build-ups, and a delivery of melody that inspires thoughts of snowy mountain tops, and bright sunny days somewhere along a windy shore.

The 3rd track is even more progressive than the 2nd, but the melody is slightly different. They used a different synth for it, so it has less of the psuedo-techno feel to it, and more of a trance feel, which comes across perfectly, for the brief time the melody makes its appearance.

I don't normally say this about techno, but it is a BEAUTIFUL CD, with inspiring tracks, and a catchy beat you can dance to as well. It's hard to desribe exactly genre this falls into, but I'll try a hybrid name: "Tecrance."

Not quite techno, not quite trance, but a wonderful combination of the two.

You will NOT regret buying this CD, I promise. I sure didn't.

Enjoy."
