Flip Phillips (March 26, 1915 to August 17, 2001) was an American jazz tenor saxophone and clarinet player. He is best remembered for his work with Norman Granz's Jazz at the Philharmonic concerts from 1946 to 1957. Although the bass player and drummer on these 'live' recordings from Birdland are not known, his line-up at the time of these recordings was Harry Sweets Edison, Bill Harris, Hank Jones, Lou Levy, Jimmy Woode and Buddy Rich.
