Flame is smoking !!!!!!!

"Flame is on fire. This cd was hot, nice beats, and good lyrics. One of the best cds I have ever heard. You will not be dissapionted. Each song has its own message. The song "WE NEED YOU" made me think for a while and I noticed how much we need our God in these times. Every where I go there is corruption ( In my house, on tv, on the streets, in school, ect. ) It made me appreciate God a whole lot more and notice that everyone, everywhere, and everyday we need our Lord Jesus Christ. Now that was just one song there is not enough paper in the world to tell you how each song is helping me and how it could help you. The song " WAR OF THE MINDS" made me think also. My sister has gone through deprresion and thoughts of suicide, and my pastors son died from suffering of a mental disease. I have also had wars in my mind. Flame says in one of his songs that he wants to know if his cds change people's lives. If he ever reads this I want him to know his cd has changed me, helped me, become better with my Lord, and helped me appreciate my Lord. BUY THIS IT WILL HELP YOU."
Top notch beats, bold hooks, and unrestrained Truth!

"In 2004 Flame released his first album, "Flame", and just a little over a year later he's already back with his sophomore album, "Rewind". I'm happy to report that "Rewind" nearly left me speechless after I heard it for the first time and exceeded my greatest expectations. (And I came in with very high expectations, seeing as this is a Cross Movement album)

As the name of this CD suggests, the major focus of the album is to "rewind" the way that we look at Christian doctrines and to go back to what the Bible says and to put away any false teachings that have crept into the belief system of many Christians today.

One of Flame's finest quality's is that he is unafraid to preach the truth and nothing but the truth, even if it means those who may cling to false doctrines are offended in the process.

In addition to reinforcing and promoting pure and biblical Christianity and preaching Jesus Christ, the album also does an excellent job of supplying the listener with beats so professional and bangin that if you weren't paying attention to the lyrics, you'd think you were listening to the BET Rap City countdown. But ahhh the lyrics.. lest we forget about the lyrics. Flame proves just what a talented lyricist he is on all of his tracks, but one in particular stands out, entitled "To My Heart" where Flame raps against his own heart and accuses it of all of the times it's deceived and misled him. Another talented rapper named shai linne plays the part of Flames heart and responds to Flame's accusations, in almost a battle type format. It's truly one of the cleverest and meaningful songs I've ever heard before, and it's in very good company along side scores of other songs that deserve 5 out of 5 stars as well. Some of my favorites include No Silence, Uh-Oh, We Need You, Context, Give us the Truth pt 2, Welcome, Sola Scriptura, and We Preach Christ. The songs that I didn't mention are very respectable as well and would earn at least 4 out of 5 stars in my book.

The bottom line is that this is among my all time favorite hiphop albums, either mainstream or Christian, and it should be on every single hiphop fan's list. Flame's first album, Flame is also highly recommended, but Rewind is even better in my opinion.

Other Christian hiphop albums that I would strongly recommend include:

The Ambassador - The Thesis

Phanatik - The Incredible Walk

Da Truth - The Faith

Da Truth - Moment of Truth

You'll notice that all of these albums are from the Cross Movement record label, and I assure you that I have no affiliation with Cross Movement, other than being an avid fan of their artists and their albums. It's simply the best music (beats AND lyrics) that has ever come in contact with my eardrums during the past 10+ years that I've been listening to hiphop."

"I just got this album this week, but I haven't heard Flame's first album to compare the two. I like a variety of christian music, but always try to be concious of the message, lyrics, and theology of the songs, not just the sound of the music. Flame's ultimate concern in this album is that his listener learns to test everything in light of scripture. He speaks on matters such as heresy, taking scripture out of context, and gaurding your heart. He wants everyone to be able to read the bible for all it's worth so that true, effective life change can happen. He brings a true love for a study of scripture that goes beneath the surface to his music."
