Their anti-establishment smash Signs is how most of us know this Canadian band, but they actually scored five hits here and recorded many a surprising album track that deserves to be heard. Their first U.S. best-of takes care of that as you hear every hit Signs ; Absolutely Right ; Money Back Guarantee ; I m a Stranger Here , and Werewolf plus Find the One ; Julianna ; their Country Girl Suite , and more roots-rockin pop gems!

CD Reviews

Nearly identical to the other best-of collection

(3 out of 5 stars)

"If you have the "Absolutely Right" collection on Canadian Polydor from the mid-90s, there's only one track on this collection that isn't available on the other disc: "Find the One". The "Country Girl Suite" appears to be spread out over several tracks on this disc and appears as a single track on the other collection...and you also get the single versions of both "Signs" and "I'm a Stranger Here". If you want something with more tracks, search out their vinyl LPs on eBay (they had several both as the Staccatos and as the 5MEB, including a special promotional LP they shared with the Guess Who called "A Wild Pair"... and they're much harder to find in the States than in Canada...they came from Ottawa). A track-by-track comparison of this CD and

"Absolutely Right" renders this collection unnecessary unless you need the one track not available on that disc."
