CD Reviews

Superb player - superb instrument
R. John | Coral Gables, FL | 08/09/2006

"Ms Meyerson on top form as usual ... and as with her recent recordings for Glossa, she is playing a stunning Keith Hill harpsichord after Taskin, demonstrating that he is one of the few current builders whose instruments can rival surviving antiques for tonal complexity. Highly recommended."
Stunning musicianship

"Ms. Meyerson brings the daughters to life with variety, subtlety and dazzling virtuosity. She is aided by a harpsichord of rich and ravishing tone. Fischer may not have previously figured greatly in the pantheon of keyboard composers - perhaps he was just waiting for the genius of Mitzi Meyerson to make him blossom.

An oustanding recording: Richly deserving of its Diapason d'Or"
Thank you, Mitzi, for a brilliant performance

"I first learned of Mitzi Meyerson's playing through her performances with Trio Sonnerie. Curious to hear her solo playing, I have bought all her solo recordings and I can honestly say that her playing, interpretation and choice of harpsichords has never disappointed me. This recording of Fischer is my most recent purchase and I was so enthralled with it that I listened to it three times over on the day I received it. I hear no relentlessness in her performance - these are compact suites that squeeze a lot of varied music into a short period of time. The harpsichord she plays has a rich, colourful tone with crystal clear articulation. We should all be grateful to Mitzi for sharing her wonderful talent with us and her championing of lesser known composers."
