Masterpiece of a lost time

"As a music lover of Iraqi Jewish origin, I swell with pride every time I hear this album. It's truly a masterpiece - a pristine recording of some of the best Iraqi maqam out there. Sadly, this 400-year-old tradition's days are numbered.

If you're new to this genre of music, I recommend starting with "Al Dunia Farhana," or my favorite - "Leila Helwa.""
