"Imaginative, sensitively written and performed, with just enough teen angst.
The first half are tracks with the session musicians mixed in, the second half are the studio demos of many of the same songs with just the girls on instruments and vocals, which I actually prefer, although the studio mixes are also very good. Excellent vocals and electric guitar, bass, organ, and drums played by the band members themselves."
"...possibly fictious"?

"Rev-Ola's version of the earlier FC CD (from Teen Beat) boasts a replica of the original LP cover, which adds to the nostalgia value. The fold-out booklet may drive some nuts, but it is a nice way to display the rare snapshots, as well as contain Steve Stanley's fine liner notes, featuring input from the band members themselves....Is it because the "Livin' Love" LP featured session players (not of "Wrecking Crew" quality, thank goodness: a higher caliber of musicians would've overdone these songs)--and not all the FC on vocals--that All Music Guide claims the group is not only "fictious" but the two CDs of their music are the work of "latter-day pranksters"? If this is what they allege, then the Byrds are fictional, too, because of session men on "Mister Tambourine Man"? If AMG has solid proof of fraud, I'd like to read it (they probably have old Milli Vanilli CDs downloaded on their MP3 players). 'Til then, I'll take this rare slice of garage-rock (with pop overtones), warts and all, and enjoy. A pleasant surprise, boasting decent sound, given the condition of the tapes."
