Synopsis

Product Description
Authentic post-punk, new-wave, dark-wave, goth(ish) trio for those who crave an element of dark and sensually charged surrealism in their music. Feeding Fingers is an Atlanta, GA based trio typically characterized as one of the southeast's premiere darkwave/goth/deathrock bands. The group is led by international award-winning animator/multi-media artist, Justin Curfman and supported by bassist Todd Caras and professional veteran percussionist, Danny Hunt. Their work is reminiscent of early Cure, Depeche Mode, X-Mal Deutschland, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins, etc. with their often minimalist and hypnotic percussive elements... droning yet fluid and dynamic bass structures... heavily sustained guitar work... bizarre dream-inspired lyrics... ("...today I found an animal's mouth in a bag of broken hands..."). They have a definite appeal to those who crave an element of dark surrealism in their music.

CD Reviews

Bye bye The Cure, here is Feeding Fingers
P. Tetteroo | Netherlands | 11/20/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"As a big fan of The Cure I have to be honoust that I'm pretty disappointed in their last albums. They have become more and more like a regular indie rock band and left their unique atmospheric music behind. I had to mourn about it a little, but one year ago I was pleasantly surprised when I ran into this album on cdbaby.com

I was just checking albums there hoping to find something nice. Wound in Wall sounded like a revival of The Cure in their best years, but still had some kind of unique sound of its own.

Anyway, when you like albums like Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography of The Cure you will certainly be satisfied by Feeding Fingers. I'm sure you will be sorry when you would miss this, so check it out!"
