With this album, Farpoint reaches a new level of maturity in songwriting, performance and production. With a subtle nod to Yes and a not-so-subtle nod to Pink Floyd, the songs take elements of progressive rock, hard rock, folk, Celtic, bluegrass, new-age and more and blend them into one smooth cohesive whole. While the energy level is higher than on previous Farpoint records, the occasional folky ballad and spacey synth excursion create a nice sense of stylistic variety.
