If you like exact percussion playing with your festive brass...buy this album now.This album has one of only 2 recordings that I know about of Wagner's Festmusik (the other is on an LP: Philip Jones Brass Ensemble: Festive Brass. It never made it to CD.). Copland's Fanfare is played just how it should be: stately and noble with the low brass getting it just right when their turn comes. And Janacek's Sinfonietta will leave you sailing high.Not only are the London Brass Virtuosi exactly that (the technically and artistic interpretations are exquisite), but the recording itself is masterful: big full brassy sounds will grab at you and set your soul on fire.If I could give this 10 stars I would! 25 stars! 50 stars!"
