Synopsis

Album Description
"A Denton band on the verge of great things ... the music rumbles like storm winds across the West Texas desert, with a heart that is Joe Tex plus T. Rex. All three sing, with Barton and Wickliffe carrying the bulk of the load, and the lyrics are full of rage and desire, joy and laughter. Wickliffe and Valdez syncopate rough but stylish leads and bass lines over Barton's urgent, danceable percussion (she steals riffs from James Brown)." -- DALLAS OBSERVER The Faceless Werewolves are a rock `n' roll trio based in Austin. The band formed in 2001 in Denton, when the three members met while attending college. They moved to Austin in late 2005 to take advantage of its strong music scene. They played SXSW 2006 and, as a result, were invited to place a song on the Copper Label compilation to be released in Fall 2006. This CD, titled Medium Freaky, was recorded at the Bubble with Frenchie Smith. The band is planning a regional tour to coincide with the release of this CD in October 2006.
