"El Tirador, is an excellent mix of old and new banda tracks, performed by the legendary Ezequiel Pena. A paradox tu his succes, however, is the combination of rancheras, cumbias and boleros. The first track, El Tirador, was a huge success in 1994-95, and El Mariachi, also became a radio hit. Banda's success reached its highest point in the mid 1990s, earnining tremendous listening audience througout California, Texas, Chicago, New Mexico, and other metropolitan cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Antonio, and of course, Mexico. This album is highly recommended for a wide listening audience. In fact, one of the album's hits is entitled, "Jelous Heart," but is performed in Spanish by Pena. The album shows charisma, effort and a unique touch of serious dedication to please the heart, the soul and the mind of Banda aficionados. Include this album in your section of Latin/Mexican/Ranchera hits. You will truly enjoy the powerful beats of cumbia, ranchera--trumpets, bass, drums and slow rhythms of trombone and saxophone melodies."
